The Budgets Dashboard in Divvy.

At our company, we were looking for an expense management platform that was easy to set up, straightforward to use on a day-to-day basis, and preferably at no monthly cost. We settled on Divvy.

We’re about six months into our time with Divvy, which is a good milestone to write a review.

Features

  • No monthly cost
  • Physical and virtual cards
  • Budgets that can be allocated to people, departments, and specific physical or virtual cards
  • Looks easy to use

What’s Good?

  • They offer virtual cards, which are more convenient than getting everyone physical cards.
  • The physical cards are nicely designed.
  • Customer support is responsive. Which is good, because you’ll be contacting them a lot.

What’s bad?

Statement payments take, on average, 5 to 10 business days to process. While your payment is processing, you can’t actually use your account, as it’s considered ‘inactive’.

An Ambiguous Decline

The mobile app is missing a lot of essential features, like unblocking a card. Why would you need this, you ask?
